How’s everyone doing? I’d love to hear how every is filling their days during this time of social distancing. Navigating the upcoming weeks and months won’t always be pretty but it is reality and we are saving lives by keeping our distance! Finding a balance will be a priority – in addition to caring for family members, make sure to find time for yourself. Maintain physical activity, get fresh air, continue to create nutrient dense meals (frozen and canned foods are A-okay!). Do these things together, as a family, when possible! Get creative! ⠀
Find joy in small things – when anxiety is getting the best of you, take a minute and think of 3 or 4 things you are grateful for, things that make you happy, things you appreciate. ⠀
Stay in the moment – don’t get bogged down thinking about the future and don’t check the news every 5 minutes. Focus on what you can do to find a little joy, right now, what you can do to feel a sense of accomplishment, today. ⠀

Today we made these delicious, homemade oreo cookies (recipe from @sallysbakingaddiction), my kids eagerly completed the assignments their teachers sent, I got a run in on the treadmill and I actually washed my hair today (even small accomplishments can feel so good)! We’re planning on a family game night tonight and my husband is making corned beef and cabbage for St. Patty’s Day dinner 😋! It wasn’t a perfect day as the kids probably had too much screen time (and too many cookies), but I remind myself, we’re not striving for perfection, we’re striving to keep sane and keep our people safe and healthy while appreciating the little things in life. ⠀

I love seeing all of your posts showing what you’re doing to keep busy…..it provides inspiration to so many and makes us feel less alone! Keep them coming! Stay healthy, stay positive and remember that we’re all in this together! Xo
